Camping Sleeping bag

A Camping sleeping bag is a sleeping bag that best collaborates with a
pitched tent and is often used by families going out on a camping trip
with their kids! They are basically made to sleep in when no available
bed is around for the night.

Sleeping bags have come a long way since the first one was made
by Pryce- Jones in the 19th century, since then, the sleeping bag has
seen plenty of transformations for it to better insulate, protect, and
provide some measure of privacy to the sleeper. Camping sleeping
bags are best made with waterproof fabric and manufacturers have
produced two types of fillings from which a consumer can choose
from depending on their budget. If one wants a cheaper priced bag,
then synthetic bags are available in the market. However, the more
expensive sleeping bag contains down fills, these type of filling has
been found to be able to insulate a person more effectively and is
more comfortable than synthetic fills.

Aside from choosing the type of fill for their bed substitute, keen
consumers may also select based on the following qualities:

1. Insulating capacity- its ability to keep you warm and protected
2. Cost- it should be affordable without compromising the desirable
qualities of a good camping sleeping bag
3. Compactness- it should be easily stored and light

For your kids to be guaranteed a comfortably warm bag upon retiring
for the night, select a bag that has the right temperature rating for
your destination. Tents will help a great deal in keeping you warm
by “trapping” the warm air inside the tent, and the presence of a
sleeping pad and the thickness of clothes being worn while inside can
also influence the degree of warmth the sleeping bag can provide. In
addition, choose a sleeping bag that is appropriate for the season since
each season has a temperature range, ask the nearest salesperson for
assistance on this one.

Aside from good insulation, the cost of the material should also be
considered. Generally, Camping sleeping bags with down fills are more
expensive than synthetic ones. But the great thing about down fills is
that they can trap warmth better and are more compact then synthetic
fills, making packing a breeze. So if you are prepared to go the extra
mile for all the aforementioned desirable qualities, then purchase a
down sleeping bag, do make sure however, to compare prices so as to

avoid those who price their products exorbitantly! On the other hand,
synthetic fills are cheaper, is non- allergic, and dries faster than its
goose down counterpart, it even keeps you warm even when it is wet!

An increasing number of bags are offering so much more than the
standard warmth, comfort, and costumer- friendly cost. There are
additional features such as stash pockets, hoodies, sleeping bag liners,
built in pillows, double wide bags, and stuff sacks which make the
sleeping bag more attractive to the keen consumer. Some sleeping
bags even customize the material depending on age and gender! No
matter the type and build, a great camping trip is never complete
without a camping sleeping bag!
