Two and half men

Two and a Half Men: It is a legend in comedy sitcoms! It is an American Television comedy sitcom that
aired in September, 2003. The cast includes Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus Jones. The story follows
the hedonistic life of Charlie Harper, a hedonistic jingle writer whose leisurely carefree life suddenly
went haywire when his uptight sibling, Alan and his son, Jake moved into his home. The show was such a
big hit that it was tagged as "the biggest hit comedy of the past decade” by the New York Times.

Ever since the show aired, it reaped the privilege of being one of the top 20 programs. The show has
ranked among the Top 20 programs every season since it first aired. The characters are as follows:

1. Charles Francis "Charlie" Harper- a decadent bachelor and alcoholic as well as a jingle/children's
song writer. He is a brother to Alan Jerome Harper and uncle to Jake Harper.
2. Alan Jerome Harper- Charlie's brother who is a chiropractor and Jake's divorced father, who is
diligent but has consistent bad judgement
3. Jacob David "Jake" Harper- Alan and Judith’s son.
4. Berta- Charlie's housekeeper endowed with a sharp and quick tongue
5. Evelyn Harper- Charlie and Alan's mum who is a high powered Los Angeles Broker and Realtor.
6. Judith Melnick- Alan's ex-wife and Jake's mum.

The series started strongly, portraying Charlie as a bachelor living his life to the fullest with his constant
parade of girlfriends. However, as the season progressed and the main star if the show, Charlie Sheen,
has been under fire for his personal and professional problems, the show started to fizzle out. Some of
the viewers have been very vocal about Charlie Sheen’s personal gaffes, there are those who comment
on how amazing the show was but some believe that the show has fizzled out with its decreasing ability
to make the audience laugh.
